Waving At Reality. |
August 19, 2010 |
Good day folks. Sorry for disappearing off for the past couple of days, been wanting to update but I just didn’t have the time or physical strength to do so with so much to do in hand.
I’ve never felt so overwhelmed with my to-do list or rather I’m just going through the same “withdrawal cycle” which happens every half a year wtf that sort of leads me to go missing-in-action. Oh well, at least now I’m acknowledging it and can’t complain much about life at the moment; I love work and keeping busy.
Have you ever found yourself being at some weird phase in your life that you question your priorities and you’re often forced to make decisions to choose between what you want/need most? Apparently my life will be filled with dilemmas according to the Keeper‘s friend who sort of read my future wtf although I’m not exactly the most superstitious person but I guess in many ways that is true. I am always making decision, and sometimes I make the wrong ones; but practice makes perfect.
Do you believe in nightmares and dreams, I know both words may seem overrated but part of the reasons I’ve been going a little haywire disappearing off the grid was only partly because I’m a little bothered by the dreams that I have. No, its not because I watched Inception; but I think in some ways I am causing this. Its like my days are so insanely packed that I disallow time for myself or rather my mind to wander off thinking about things which the mind usually fantasize about, hence the only time it gets its chance wtf is during my sleep.
I promise to catch up on more sleep!
Here’s the Keeper‘s birthday dinner at the Smokehouse,Bangsar Telawi.
The birthday boy.
Spicy Catfish Salad RM12. This is highly recommended !
Grilled Mushrooms with White Wine Sauce – RM15. The mushrooms were made extra flavorful with a little white wine and crushed garlic bits.
Chor Ladda – RM15. Ordered this because I read it off the web that this was a must-try. Boohoo, didn’t like it; unless you’re a fan of sweet stuff, this might just work.
Tom Yum Kung RM12. The portion wouldn’t look as big as it does here for this, but the quality of the soup is superb. You know how sometimes we enjoy the soup, but sometimes the thickness is what makes all the difference.
Grilled squid RM 18. Definitely worth it if you’re a fan of seafood. Okay pictures don’t do justice too for this instance because it looks way bigger in real life wtf.
Roast Beef w/ Yorkshire Pudding RM38. I’ve read all about this over the web, gotta do research before taking someone else out for dinner right?
I figured since the Keeper is such a huge fan of steaks, he would love this.
This place has excellent customer service, judging from how they appear polite, helpful and suggestive in good way; coming to check on us asking if we’re having a good time and such. I mean these things are noticeable when you see them behaving the same way to the rest of the customers, right? Good service is a major PLUS point okay.
Make a wish, make a wish.
Thats it for the dinner at The Smokehouse. I stumbled upon this place after reading it off Steph‘s blog, and immediate did some research on it. I’m a huge fan of Thai cuisine and this English deco place who also serve Western cuisine sort of hit it off at the right note for the both of us. How come they don’t serve Japanese and Thai together, do suggest if you’ve stumbled upon any!
Its good to be back, after the insane past week of so many things going on. Will be back to full swing update most from now on, and you’ll be receiving your emails soon regarding the movie premiere for Step Up 3D.
Much love,cheerios.
