Travelogue : Taiwan Through My Eyes |
December 19, 2009 |
Days has passed, months have moved and years its what we call it right now. As he walked into my doorway with a sulky face saying how I miss you & the unexpected email was moving. It doesn’t matter how much we sway from the desired direction in a relationship, its all about going through it together unselfishly. I looked upon the honest eyes that shows that amount of sincerity that it is possible to grow & to learn hand in hand.
As poetry maybe able to express a certain degree or extent what love truly is about; I’d sum it up in one word. Love is about us. Us is larger than a word formed by the alphabet u and s, because you’d be surprise how most of us usually stray away from how we make decisions in a relationship selfishly. As the saying goes,it takes two hands to clap.
Enough of the mushy stuffs, lets get started with my first night in Taipei shall we? Since the amount of pictures is way beyond my capabilities to post ‘em all up,decided to try doing it via slide show. Please note that this only applies for photos without a human figure in it wtf. In order to make it less annoying and more enjoyable,I’ll keep the amount of pictures within a slide less between 5 – 20.
Raohe Street Night Market was definitely a good introduction to the city’s culture in terms of the choices of food offered and not to mention the drizzle.
But my favourite part would be my instant noodles sessions,i love how the 7-Eleven in Taiwan is so well managed and they discourage the usage of plastic bags!
My different views from the hotel room.
After a cold and long morning spent counting the raindrops falling on my head, we proceed on to Jiufen. Just a short note on the historical facts; during the first years of the Qing Dynasty, the village here housed nine families, thus the village would request “nine portions” every time shipments arrived from town. Later Jiufen (“Nine portions” in Chinese) would become the name of the village.
Its a place made of small alleys connected through passageways with lots of food stalls & a perfect place to splurge on souvenirs.
My dad took this shot.
This drunken chicken was quite an interesting cold dish served with meat ball soup & glass noodles. Awesome stuff for the cold weather and empty stomach.
The slide below captures everything which caught my eye, it doesn’t have to make perfect sense.
Hope you enjoyed the slideshow and the pictures.
The weekend is here again, had an amazing time with the Keeper today as we wanted to go out on a date. Don’t get me wrong about the whole terminology of the word ‘date’ used, but its just like having the man doing all the right thing wtf. Watched Avatar at GSC Signatures which was well worth it. Stay tuned for the rest of day one.
Yes I’m still stuck at day one.
Much love,cheerios.
