The Sorcerer’s Apprentice would be out in cinema’s this coming 22nd July 2010.
Courtesy of Advertlets, I got to watch it via media screening on Tuesday at GSC Midvalley. Warning that there might be a gist of spoilers here and there; but if you love movies as much as I do, spoilers will do me no harm.

Balthazar Blake (Nicolas Cage) is a master sorcerer in modern-day Manhattan trying to defend the city from his arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath (Alfred Molina). Balthazar can’t do it alone, so he recruits Dave Stutler (Jay Baruchel), a seemingly average guy who demonstrates hidden potential, as his reluctant protégé. The sorcerer gives his unwilling accomplice a crash course in the art and science of magic, and together, these unlikely partners work to stop the forces of darkness. - I personally love the fact that Dave (the apprentice) was very driven by love & courageous to an extent where this movie sort of reflects how some actions go beyond being right or wrong.
- Apart from that, its always been easy to sort of find the answers through out very own eyes and we redefine whats important to us.
- There were scenes where he was embarrassed terribly for a lie he didn’t make, suffering for its consequences for a good 10 years.
- I know its pretty common in terms of movie story lines to have kids discovering stuff when they’re young then learning the truth about themselves many years later.
- This may be common, but given an opportunity who wouldn’t want to be a descendant of Merlin’s bloodline?
Not gonna reveal anymore,do find the time to watch it yourself. I’d rate it a 7/10!
