The Best Way To Lose Me,is To Take Things For Granted. |
April 21, 2009 |
I have a thought.
Why do people,like myself often take things for granted?
I’d be the first to admit how much of a ‘get carried away easily’ or rather ‘i’m so happy I forgot about everyone & everything’ person I am. We all are I presume,just to what extent are we aware of our actions and finally realize that we’re taking things for granted.As much as I would love to be a 100% aware of my actions,we all know its not possible to stay cautious all the time.
So do you take things for granted?
- As a daughter or son.
- As an employer or employee.
- As a friend.
- As a lover.
- As a pet owner.
- As a student.
The list of people I mentioned above are probably the ones who very much revolve around our everyday lives. We’re often so busy being caught up with work,fun,dramas,shopping wtf or everything else that we somehow overlooked the important people in our lives.Sometimes the overly used favourite tagline of ‘Knowing your priorities‘ can be one line of total bullshit if you end up only knowing your priorities and everything else that is not within the designated boundary of the ‘priorities’ is imperceptible.

You can’t turn the time around.
Once the time has passed you by,
there’s no making a U-turn when it comes to time.
- Every tiny gestures.
- Every little thought that counts.
- Every petty reminder that seemed way too insignificant to remember.
- Every homecooked meal by mum which we seem to just pass on.
- Every arguement with dad that gets us all worked up and not talk to him for days.
- Every moment spent with our loved ones just parked aside due to our apparent priorities.
Every and everything.
We choose not to look at worse case scenarios.
Just try picturing receiving a phone call about someone you care which met a horrible car accident and died on the spot; and you losing them forever. Knowing that there’s still so much to say,so much to do and sadly they’re not within your apparent designated boundary of ‘priorities’.
That’s always the case of people,who often spend most of their lives in regrets.
Trust me,the best way to lose me;
As a friend,as a girlfriend,as a sister;
is to take me for granted.

Wah, are you hinting to someone in particular,not to take you for granted.
Looks like you are not a easy gal to please.We always think that the grass is always greener on the other side, but in reality it’s just a mirage. As long as
the guy don’t two time you, you should
not have too high a standard, for the higher you aim,the more disappointed you will become.As for parents, you are born with them, not unlike bf where you
can choose who you want to be with.The days where parents know best are long gone,nowadays teenagers have to be pleased rather than the other around.
giam2020 – I might be.
Can’t say that i’m not easy to please actually! But gotta agree that the grass is always greener on the other side.Expectation kills,as always.
ahem. i didnt take you for granted. WHO took you for granted??!! tell me… tell me!! hm… >.<
