Remember us?
Myself & Brownthepom (a once used to be famous character here)

A story tells that two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand: “TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE.”
They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one, who had been slapped, got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him. After the friend recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone: “TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE.”
The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him,
“After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?”
The other friend replied:
“When someone hurts us, we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it.”
Learn to write your hurts in the sand, and to carve your benefits in stone.

The KINS.
Quite a good short story grabbed from here. I guess its true that some things in life especially friendships are built on stone and some on sand. A very direct philosophical approach of how some things fade with time; like the infamous saying, friends come and go but those who stay are the ones who shared something carved on stone. I figured that it has got to be one of the many turning points in my life when things sorta went downhill since early August. Friends who stepped in to the rescue to lend a helping hand, you know who you are; some old friends who’s always been around (just that I’m too preoccupied with my life to notice it) who’s doing everything within their means to make my world a better place.
I guess opening up to your past can be both a good & a bad thing. It invites both old pests and new love, but the process of rediscovering one part of yourself who’s built on sand slowly slipping away through the gentle breeze of the wind; I’m glad I did manage to gather the ones who matter. Stones and the formation of rocks is a stacking process of mother nature that creates light pockets between the gaps(differences), just like us people. We’re made out of differences, we have light pockets (common ground) that we share among friends.
Have a great weekend darlings. See, I’m keeping to my daily update promise.
