20 vie for Most Wanted ruumate Title.

THE race to be the Most Wanted ruumate is on!
The finalists of Malaysia’s first full-fledged social network portal Ruumz’s inaugural Most Wanted ruumate campaign were recently announced. The 10 girls and 10 guys were selected from nominations received from across the nation.
The Most Wanted ruumate is a contest in which two winners – a guy and girl – will be selected at the end of the month-long voting period based on a 70:30 split between members’ votes and the judges’ decision.
The shortlisting process was a tough affair as the pool of candidates were highly suitable. In the end, the chosen ones were those who displayed the most distinctive talents, charisma and charm. Ranging from law graduates to popular bloggers and even including a magician, they were a diverse bunch.

Selecting the finalists was an equally diverse panel of judges comprising ruumz.FM deejays Fly Guy and Ross, actress-cum-VJ Sarah Lian, Facesmagazine editor-in-chief Lu Jing Shia and The Star journalist andStarMetro columnist Niki Cheong.

“The mix of finalists is absolutely splendid,” said Lian.

“It’s going to be an exciting campaign as it will be interesting to see how each contestant accomplishes their prescribed tasks and charts out their self-campaigns.”

The finalists were brought together for an informal Meet-and-Greet session, held at the rooftop garden of Green Packet headquarters. They were officially introduced to all present to applause and a flurry of flashing cameras.The evening was a cordial affair, with the finalists mingling amiably with each other and guests, despite the competitive nature of the campaign, which is testament to their high level of sociability and character.Malaysians can expect an intriguing affair as ruumzsters (ruumz members) cast their votes this month and decide who they want as their Most Wanted ruumate

Without any fixed definition of the Most Wanted ruumate, ruumzsters are free to vote for the finalists who represent their ideal ruumate. Each ruumz member is allotted six votes daily for the duration of the campaign.The winners will be announced in July at what is touted to be one of the year’s most anticipated parties.The voting period started on June 1 and runs until June 30.
