I Took Flight.

May 30, 2011

Good day peeps, I’m alive! The toughest week is finally week, can’t believe how time flies that I’m approaching the end of the semester; and yes I’ll be on my way home. I can’t believe I’m saying this but it really isn’t that bad being abroad and that its all a matter of getting used to. I was expecting a slightly more stressed up and miserable week leading up to the final week for studio presentation; because as I remembered, I was never in good mental and physical shape when it comes to the final week. I’m not suggesting that its any easier here, but I think the whole idea of managing yourself and time.

This time you get to see my full face in the video, took a lot of courage wtf. You should so check out the pre-video photobooth shots. I like how Tyler Ward wrote/sang this song and left the chorus to AlexG to sing only one line; I’m falling, I’m falling in love with you.

Lets just the whole idea of having all the time in the world to yourself, and if you lose control with that amount of freedom; you can sadly wave goodbye to your studies. Its been quite an experience so far, having to struggle to stay awake at night battling the cold weather; I don’t like the cold. :( My finals is coming up on the 7th of June, and I know it sounds really weird but I can’t wait to study for the exam. Its always good to have a good feeling and be excited about doing all the reading instead of dreading it right?

Here’s an image of my final presentation board, how do you like the look of my building design? Its inspired by a rhythmic gymnast; the dancer and the ribbon.

“The idea of a ribbon blown onto the existing site by the prevailing wind forming a structure (I could have made it more sculptural) that twirls its way all the way to the top. It was to create a visual linkage that evokes a sense of continuity from the moment you get a glimpse of the structure from the exterior through the sculptural ribbon that transforms from a floor to wall before ending as a roof structure. A ribbon’s twirl sparked by the movement of the gymnast from one point of the ribbon to the other that drifts through the existing element of wind & space.”

Waffles topped with green tea ice-cream and red bean.

I had my first experience of mowing the lawn manually!

Shopping craze. 1 windbreaker from Witchery, 1 pair of new boots from Novo, 1 pair of Guess jeans, 1 sweater (its orange!) from Dotti, 2 knitted top and a pair of gloves; self-rewarding. :)

Its time to drown myself with exam notes, and I’m so excited about it. Had a good morning playing basketball before the random attempt to cook Pork cooked with Sambal.

I must say that it tasted pretty good and its best served with Indomee!

I’m gonna head back to studying now, wish me luck for my finals; and the weekend was a perfect getaway from all the built-up stress over the past weeks, I really miss being in a homely-family oriented environment. :( Seeing photos of my cousin getting married over the weekend, with mum & dad all dolled up for the occasion just makes it worse because I feel so distant from my family. I’m usually the camera-girl for family gatherings, and now I’ve lost my job.

You say,
“Goodbye, hope that I get to see you soon”
Then I walked for several miles
Couldn’t rid me of my smile
Cause you found me and I found you”

I’ll be heading to Singapore in July, leave me an email/comment if you wanna meet up! :)
