Day Out with the new Honda Freed! |
August 6, 2010 |
It took me quite a while to actually write this or even getting the pictures up because I looked so genuinely happy in them; but everything sorta went flipped 180degrees when I heard the news about my aunt after this awesome day out with the rest of the Advertlets bloggers put together by the Honda Malaysia team. I must say that we were fortunate to be the first to test drive the All New Honda FREED with Paul Tan. Before I continue any further, I’d like to thank Jason Ong, Jason Goh & Rames for some of the pictures below.

We were divided into groups of four as the theme of the test drive was “4 Seater + IDEAS”, Rames was the first and I was he second in line to drive the boys all the way to our designated destination, Putrajaya. To be honest, this is my first time test-driving an actual car; so you can expect a great deal of adrenaline pumping through worrying if I might hit a barrier or something wtf. All these tiny thoughts were kept to myself of course, or else I’m sure the boys would have flipped & jumped right out the car!
The overall driving experience was pretty smooth since I had the opportunity to drive the second half of the journey to Putrajaya which was mostly on highways. I remember us commenting about the smooth handling because the idea of a MPV having issues with handling but with the Small Turning Radius of 5.2m, that pretty much did the trick. In terms of power, despite it having a 1.5 Honda i-VTEC Engine that gives 118PS at 6,600rpm, 114Nm at 4,800rpm; it may be slightly underpowered for racing purposes when you have a family of five in the car, but nobody does the whole speeding thing when you have your entire family in the car right?
Its a perfect family car. Pictures would do justice later on in this post.

Now its time for pictures & the fun stuff!
Saturday mornings should so begin like this !

Jason Smashpop & Ewin.

Rames & Ewin,again.
This was breakfast at Soul’ed Out in Desa Sri Hartamas.

I personally found the mini-game session thrown by the organizers to take 20 shots using the Polaroid cameras according to our creativity based on the theme “4 Seater + IDEAS” during the drive pretty fun because that sorta made us pay more attention to creativity. Verdict, I have short hands and I don’t do so well when it comes to camwhoring with a Polaroid.
Evidence to prove it,above !
I’m starting to wonder the amount of pictures we’re in together, ala camwhore style !
Pay careful attention the the figure.
Rames has a story to share about our experience at the toll.
Jason having the time of his life, gazing upon the winding roads.
This was really funny, because I was just randomly lifting up my camera and wanted to snap a shot from the back; then turns out they were both so readily posing for the camera wtf.

We pulled off a jump shot using the Polaroid, perfect timing!

DSLR jumpshots are wayyyyyyyy easier.

Thanks again Advertlets & Honda Malaysia for the awesome day out with the rest of the bloggers; sometimes having fun with your friends doing the things that you share in common is really the ultimate bomb.
I hope you enjoyed the post as much as I did writing it. Things are starting to fall into place, its the Keeper’s birthday tomorrow so I think this is gonna be a crazy weekend for me; in a good way of course.
I’m throwing a food gathering session tomorrow at 12 noon in Kitchen Creatures,Centerpoint Bandar Utama & I’d like to extend my invitation to two blog readers. Its absolutely free, and I figured it’ll be awesome for you to meet the rest of the 20+ bloggers. Leave a comment if you’re interested!
