there are difference in the logo between the real and fake crocs, and the most important is difference of quality between real and fake crocs, fake crocs is made from low quality plastic and its not comfortable at all,for sure we will support the real crocs, its always the most comfortable shoes to wear on=)

  2. bryanlyt says:

    The answer:

“The difference lies in the material used. The patented material Crosslite is odourless, slip resistance, anti-bacterial and offers unparalleled comfort in that it moulds to your feet. The fakes use really poor quality plastic and you can feel a difference when your wear them.” (Chan W 2009)

HAHA siap Harvard Referencing sumore! :P

  3. Farah says:

firstly the logo between the two are different, the smiling crocs.

Second, the material that real crocs used made your feet comfort with patented Crosslite is odourless, slip resistance, anti-bacterial.

another point, The fakes come with hangtags, plastic bags, logos and embossed wording that is similar to original Crocs, and being sold as “marked down real Crocs” for anything between RM35 and RM100. These are often seen at night and morning markets.

    :)

  4. Jonshea says:

Buy an original Crocs from the online store (http://www.crocs.com.my/showcase.php) and bring it everywhere to compare.. Or, you can just snap a picture of the original croc’s logo and again, bring it everywhere to compare..

But, the main and foremost difference of the original and fake crocs is the material used for producing ‘em. The original crocs, the patented material Crosslite is odorless, slip resistance, anti-bacteria and it offers a comfortable perfect wrap around your feet just nicely, you feel as though you are walking freely bare-footedly. The fake crocs are foul-smelling and hard with those cheap plastic-rubber.

So the easiest, most straight-forward way to differentiate is to slip on those crocs, try it and you will know!

  5. wylim says:

Just based on the logo itself, we can already differentiate between the real and the fake.

Just look at the counterfeit’s croc, it looks more like a lizard  Look at the tiny little hands the fake croc has, it is just ugly. Look at the eyes too, the fake croc looks more like a stalker to me, as in the way they design the eyes..the way the fake croc is looking at..just weird! Also, The mouth is cracked open in a larger portion. Not to mention the quality of the real and the fake product too. It’s just awful!

Just wondering why people nowadays are still supporting these counterfeit products that will eventually worsen the industry..

  6. Ferlyn says:

    1. The fake crocs logo has a bigger nose!
    2. Material used. The real parented material Crosslite is odourless, slip resistance, anti-bacterial and comfort which is good to avoid ‘hong kong leg’ . The fake crocs used poor quality plastic and got the sound ‘nget nget nget’ when you walk!
3.Design. Those fake Crocs we often seen at night and morning markets had poor design and lausy colour mix. They just put on whatever cartoon they like or mix whatever colour they can. And the real Crocs when you first saw it you will like “omg! sooooo nice! I want it! ”

  7. JustinH says:

    Aiyah~
    Very simple~

When the Crocs is priced at RM20 below, you should know its Fake!
When the Crocs is priced above RM150, then is Original~

PS: this is juz joking~ I dun expect to win this

  8. Gloson says:

In the logo, on the crocodile’s back, there are always 6 uneven bumps and the 4th bump from the top is always the biggest :) .

  9. Tan Cheng Lim says:

For the clog styles, true Crocs have the brand name “Crocs tm” on the heel straps. The straps are attached to the shoe with rivets. The rivets have the Crocs logo on them. The Crocs logo design is of a crocodile with two eyes showing. The crocodile has six uneven bumps on the back, the 4th bump from the top a little bigger than all the rest. The Crocs logo has two hands showing both with three fingers each. His hands look like he’s holding the edge of a box. The background should be black and the Crocs logo in white. The word Crocs, shoe size and company website will also appear at the bottom soles. Besides, Fake Crocs are more more cheaper than the real ones, so do check the price of the Crocs’ products you want to buy in Crocs website before buy it anywhere. In addition, Real Crocs do last longer and they have the complete features such as the orthopedic and anti-microbial foot bed.

  10. Azrin says:

Knowing that nowadays they have grade A and B crocs. All of them look the same in terms of colours, feel and everything else. You will only know the difference after using for a while like wear and tear

    Only way to differentiate is..

If it cost you 20 ringgit then you should know it is fake
If those crocs that is sold from the crocs shop or big warehouse sale organized by crocs, it is original
There is no such thing as 3rd party shops selling original crocs. That is why they made crocs shop which is available everywhere in the world

I just simply hentam from my own knowledge

  11. Spectre says:

1st is the pricing of course where fake one are sold for less than RM 50 at some smelly wet market or pasar malam,
2.the fake “Crocs” logo look awesome stupid or plain lifeless compared to the original crocs logo
    3. Wear and tear.Original crocs shoes definely last longer compared to fake one : PS consider yourself lucky if didn’t trip over the street while caught wearing the fake “Crocs”
    4. IF u r seasonal crocs user , then ur experiences with original “Crocs” or gut feeling is usually the quickest method sniff out the fake crocs out there !

  12. Bee says:

    1) Hangtag has broken English/suspicious-sounding description.

    2) Ha, who ask you to buy from other shops/pasar malam besides the listed authorised outlets.

    3) In some amazing coincidence, you so happen to memorise the barcode, and………… it is the same as your friend’s!!! /dramatic

    4) Price too good to be true, something is FISHY, it is not Crocs!!!

  13. Tiffanyk. says:

Besides the obvious (actually wearing them and feeling the different material whereby counterfeits being made of uncomfortable plastic-rubber), check the hangtag. Each pair of crocs comes with a special number, kinda like ID. To check if they’re fake, compare the ‘ID’ on other shoes being sold as well. If they Aren’t unique, it’s a fake.

Also, fake crocs tend to be available in colours not available for original crocs, citing them to be of limited edition. Check the croc website, jus to make sure they exist. Thy don’t? Fake!!

  14. Yi Ling says:

Firstly, The fakes come with hangtags, plastic bags, logos and embossed wording that is similar to original Crocs, and being sold as “marked down real Crocs” for anything between RM35 and RM100. These are often seen at night and morning markets, in residential areas and are also sold via several blogs and websites. Anyone seen an original Crocs price that’s as low as those in the market?

Second, there’s a difference between the logo for the real and fake Crocs. The logo for the fake one is slightly shinier, and of course, the crocodile looks different as the original ones.

Third, the difference lies in the material used. The patented material Crosslite is odourless, slip resistance, anti-bacterial and offers unparalleled comfort in that it moulds to your feet. For the fake one, you would not feel as comfortable as you’re wearing the original one because the material for the fake one only cost for RM10 and the original one cost for RM100. Buy the one that’s really worth of the value and treat your feet nicely!

Fourth, make sure you buy your Crocs from the authorised Crocs store but not other stores to guarantee you would not be cheated. Remember, original Crocs would never appear in other places other than their authorised store. You saw Crocs in other places? That’s definitely a fake one.

So, as a wise consumer, we got for the original one, not the FAKE one! Support Ori!

  15. Lee says:

    - Every pair of Crocs has its own unique barcode/serial number printed on its hangtag. If you see the same serial number appearing on the hangtags of any other pair of shoes of the same model or other models, then you definitely have an imitation in your hands.

    - Every original Crocs hangtag contains information relating to its corresponding pair of Crocs shoes such as its style name, colour description and size.

    - If you see a shoe with the brand Crocs in a design or colour that is not shown on Crocs’ website, then it is not an authentic Crocs product.

    - Fake Crocs will sooner or later shows its true colour by giving you sore feet because it’s made of low quality, cheapskate material unlike genuine Crocs which is made of patented Crosslite that will give you ultimate comfort. That’s when karma is at work and bite you for succumbing to the temptation of cheap Crocs :)

  16. Calvin says:

If you buy it in the pasar malam, it’s fake.

(RM20 for a pair of crocs? you sure?)

If you find it in an unpopular store, chances are it’s fake.

(budding entrepreneurs? sorry, crocs have their own stores.)

If the price is too low, it’s fake. Or maybe, it’s just Crocs warehouse sales.

(they go for very low prices at warehouse sales, so don’t miss them!)

If it isn’t as comfortable, or even more comfortable than your bed or your pillow, it’s fake.

(Crocs are one of the most comfortable footwear available in the market at the moment)

If it feels like a normal pair of slippers/sandals, it’s definitely fake.

(do i even need to explain?)

If you have an outstanding urge to show off your pair of Crocs, it’s fake.

(real rich people don’t brag about their stuff, only people who buy imitations brag thinking they’d get attention)

If you don’t keep it from your newly bought puppy who is starting to nibble at everything it can find, it’s fake.

(nobody will let their precious Crocs be bitten, it’s expensive, you know! that is, if you bought real lah)

If I don’t win this, it’s fake too? LOL. Just kidding :P let’s hope for the most creative to win! (:

  17. Galvin Tan says:

    How to differentiate?

Well, original CROCS are selling way much more expensive than the imitation CROCS! haha

  18. juli1202 says:

    Simple guidelines:
    1. Every pair of Crocs has its own unique barcode/serial number printed on its hangtag. If you see the same serial number appearing on the hangtags of any other pair of shoes of the same model or other models, then you definitely have an imitation in your hands.

    2. Every original Crocs hangtag contains information relating to its corresponding pair of Crocs shoes such as its style name, colour description and size.

    3. Check for authorised retailers and Crocs concept stores selling Crocs footwear listed in the official website at crocs.com.my. Only stores listed on the website sell genuine Crocs shoes. The counterfeit is being sold as “marked down real Crocs” for anything between RM35 and RM100. These are often seen at night and morning markets, in residential areas and are also sold via several blogs and websites.

    4. Check the website product listing and compare the available designs and colours. If you see a shoe with the brand Crocs in a design or colour that is not shown on the website, then it is not an authentic Crocs product. The counterfeiters only have limited colours and sizes compared to Crocs concept stores and authorised dealers.

    5. The difference lies in the material used. The patented material Crosslite is odourless, slip resistance, anti-bacterial and offers unparalleled comfort in that it moulds to your feet. The fakes use really poor quality plastic and you can feel a difference when your wear them.

    GO FOR ORIGINAL CROCS!!!

  19. Rasidah Ramli says:

  21. devi says:

    ended already?

  22. Stephanie Chew says:

I actually went to buy a ‘Fake Crocs’ from ‘pasar malam’ for only RM15 to feel and compare the differences with my RM169 original Crocs. (No. 1 biggest difference: PRICE) The moment I slipped on it, I feel the immediate effect.
Here’re some points of what I got:

MATERIAL/QUALITY: The original Crocs’ material; Crosslite is softer, odourless, slip resistance, anti-bacterial and offers more comfort in that it moulds to your feet. The fake on the other hand, is rough and the cuts are uneven due to the cheap materials used and the uncontrolled quality due to mass production. It’s so uncomfortable!! and it makes you trip easily! Whereas genuine Crocs with its Ergonomic design fits comfortably.

HANGTAG: Every pair of Crocs has its own unique serial number, color description and size printed on its hangtag. The fakes have repetitive codes and descriptions in broken english!

DESIGN: Genuine Crocs have the brand name ‘Crocs tm’ on the heel straps. The word Crocs, shoe size and company website will also appear at the bottom soles. There will also be a cut out of the word ‘c r o c s’ at the side in which the fake does not have it.

Besides, fake crocs tend to be available in designs and colours which are not available for original crocs. Do check the official website ( http://www.crocs.com.my) for product listing of qenuine designs and colors.

Logo – The crocodile logo differs whereby, genuine crocs logo looks more bold and more like a crocodile. The fakes on the another hand, looks ‘slim’, more like a lizard than a crocodile to me with weird looking eyes and the bumps on its back differs from the genuine crocs.

Simply said, genuine Crocs are more than a pair of shoes/slippers. Its your companion for walking, outdoor activities such as boating/canoeing, simple jog or hiking, beach wear..whereas the fakes, are just merely a pair of bad quality slippers which does damage to your feet in the long run.

    :)

  23. Miyuko says:

1)The fake Cros the eye is smaller than the real Crocs and the nose of the fake Crocs is smaller then the real one.The hand of the fake crocodile is much smaller then the real ones instead.

2)the real one are made of a proprietary Closed Cell Resin (PCCR) which is NOT plastic NOR rubber.the real ones is closed-cell in nature and anti-microbial, which virtually eliminates odor. it is an extraordinary impact absorbing resin material developed for maximum cushioning. its closed cell properties resist odor, inhibits bacterial and fungal growth and are nontoxic. this versatile material can be worn next to skin and be cleaned with just soap and water.

3)The fake Crocs are more cheaper then the real ones

4)The real Crocs shoes are single injection fully-molded Croslite material ballet flat,fully-molded Croslite material construction for maximum lighweight cushioning,Ventilation holes applied to the vamp and medial side of shoes provide breathability and it is incredibly lightweight design.

5)They are a few listing of shops which are listed in the Crocs website,if you can’t find them in the Crocs website that means is fakes ones. The real ones doesn’t just sell in night market or morning market as well

  24. peimun says:

    1. Original Crocs are made from Croslite whereby the fake one is just normal rubber……

    2. Fake Crocs always comes with the Jibbitz that cannot be taken out……. Not like the original Crocs, you can easily switch the jibbitz you like.

    3. I don’t think original Crocs is expensive as I always got a good bargain in the warehouse sales. It worth my money. (Remember to get your Crocs from the outlet or warehouse sales)

    4. Comfortably – I think you can feel how comfort a pair of original Crocs compare to those fake Crocs. My daughter will never left her Crocs behind since she can walk. She is 4 years old now and I think she has nearly 10 pairs of Crocs. Kids will not lie…… they know which shoes is comfort to wear….

    5. Workmanship – Fake Crocs always comes with very ugly furnishing. Once you see the workmanship, you will notice that is fake.

    6. Logo – Fake Crocs’s logo looks ugly and weird.

  25. Joey says:

    Real Crocs
    1) Material: Odor and bacteria resistant eliminating “stinky feet paranoia” and provide the footbed circulation nubs stimulate blood flow.
    2) You can only find at 18 crocs concept stores nationwide/official website(http://www.crocs.com.my/) and only one authorised factory outlet at The Mines Shopping Center in Malaysia.
    3) Crocs logo differs from the outlook with more solid design.

    Fake Crocs:
    1) Material: Used poor quality plastic that will make you feel uncomfortable when you wear it.
    2) You can find at night and morning markets as well as blogs, websites
    3) It comes with hangtags, plastic bags, logos and embossed wording that is similar to original Crocs, and being sold as “marked down real Crocs” for anything between RM35 and RM100.
    4) Fake Crocs logo is not solid and you will notice that the nose looks bigger.

  26. Garfield says:

for me, i dun care fake or original.
coz i just buy pasar malam things only
    hahaha
oh wait, yeah, i love buy fake stuff.
